Take the pages you need out of a PDF

Sometimes you only want page four. Sending the other forty is worse than inconvenient when they hold prices, names or someone's bank details that the person asking has no business seeing. This pulls out exactly the pages you name, on your own device.

Free on every plan, including the free account.

How it works

  1. 1

Open PDF Studio and choose Split

Pick Split from the tool list and drop your PDF in. The file opens straight away, with no upload and no queue to wait in.

  2. 2

    Say which pages you want

Take a single page, a range, or break the document into separate files. What you leave behind is simply not in the output.

  3. 3

    Download the result

The new file or files save to your device. The original is untouched, so there is nothing to undo if you decide you wanted a different range.

What you get

  • Extract one page, a range, or split into several files
  • The pages you leave out are genuinely not in the result
  • Runs in your browser — the file never leaves your device
  • No watermark on the pages you keep
  • Pair it with Redact to remove details inside a page you are keeping

Who it’s for

  • Anyone sending one page of a long document instead of all of it
  • Businesses separating a statement, a contract or a bundle of invoices
  • People sharing part of a document that contains other people's details

Questions

Is splitting free?
Yes, free and with no watermark on the pages you keep. No account either — the splitting happens in your browser.
Are the removed pages really gone?
Yes — the pages you did not select are not written into the new file, rather than hidden inside it. That is the difference that matters when you are sharing part of a document.
Does the file get uploaded?
No. Splitting runs in your browser on your own device, which is the point for the documents people usually need to split.
