Before you order — side airbags
These covers must not be fitted to a seat with a side airbag in it. Most cars built from around 2010 have one in the outer edge of each front seat backrest, usually marked with an AIRBAG or SRS tag on the seam — a cover over it can stop it opening the way it is meant to. Check the seam before you buy. Rear seats, older cars and vans without seat-mounted airbags are all fine, and a set of two covers the two front seats or the two outer rear ones.
What arrives, and how it fits
A set is two covers with the same design on both. They are thick polyester with a black back, and they pull on over the seat and hold with an elastic fastening system — no tools, no unbolting anything. The printed face is the front of the backrest and the top of the base; the sides and the back stay black, so the design is what you see sitting in the car rather than what you see walking past it.
Getting the artwork right
The print file is one tall panel, 18.5 inches by 48, and the seat shape is cut out of it — so the design is laid out on a rectangle and trimmed to fit. The editor draws the cut line over your artwork so you can see what comes off, and a dashed line where the cover folds from the backrest down onto the base. Anything you want read at a glance belongs above that fold, on the backrest, where it faces the room rather than being sat on.
